A method of rapid analysis of Covid-19 mutations has been developed

Japanese scientists have developed a way to quickly analyze mutations of the strain of coronavirus. This is stated in the results of a study published by Cell Reports magazine.

So, specialists from Osaka Universities and Hokkaido offered to use the PCR method to create clones of the SARS-COV-2 virus. With this, in the future it will be possible to “quickly analyze the biological features of virus mutations.”

Scientists emphasize that such a way will reduce up to two weeks of study of COVID-19 mutations. At the same time, the traditional methods of studying coronavirus mutations take up to several months.

Previously, scientists have found a way to kill Coronavirus SARS-COV-2 per second with a high temperature, which allows you to find new ways to prevent the pathogen’s transfer to a large distance. The effectiveness of heat use for successful neutralization of COVID-19 has been demonstrated before, but in previous studies, the effects of temperature lasted from one to 20 minutes, which is impractical.
