United States has prepared to cancel tough sanctions against Iran

US President Joe Bayden may cancel a number of most stringent sanctions against Iran. It is reported by Associated Press (AP).

The ability to relieve some restrictions is considered to force Iran to return to complying with the joint comprehensive action plan (ADHD) on its nuclear program. Officials did not specify the agency exactly which measures could be canceled. At the same time, they noted that in the event of the return of Tehran to comply with the agreement, Washington “is ready to cancel any sanctions that are incompatible with the nuclear transaction or depriving Iran help to which he has the right,” writes Ap.

The representative of the State Department for Ned Price explained that “any return to CVPD will require removal of sanctions, but we consider the ability to cancel only those that are incompatible with the contract.” He added that even in the case of the US return, the country will continue to apply sanctions against Iran for the distribution of missiles, support for terrorism and human rights violations.

At the end of April, a new round of negotiations of the Joint Commission on a nuclear transaction began in Vienna. Meeting participants discussed issues of returning to the complete compliance with the provisions of this Agreement.

ACPD agreement on the Iranian nuclear program was concluded in the summer of 2015 between Tehran and six intermediary countries. Later, Iran was caught in gross violations of agreements. In early May 2018, the United States announced a unilateral exit from the transaction and the resumption of anti-Iranian sanctions. Iran reported a refusal to agreements on CRPD in January 2020.
