Hypothetical reasoning on the replacement of the international payment system SWIFT is inappropriate, Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, writes RIA Novosti.
“Everyone should understand that Russia is a strong self-sufficient country, and this is only one of the services,” the official representative of the Kremlin is rated the threat from SWIFT.
Earlier, the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky said that if this happens, the threat of a full-fledged economic war would appear. “I don’t think that Russia will be disconnected from SWIFT, because it will already be a real war, although in the economic plane,” he said.
