In Moldova, they appreciated likelihood of a new war in Transnistria

Former adviser to President Moldova Mark Tkachuk, in an interview with MK, estimated the likelihood of a new war in Transnistria.

According to him, there is a clash between “conventionally proported forces”, headed by the current President of Maya Sanda and those who are behind the former head of state Igor Dodon. Since in the republic for many years systematically neglected by constitutional standards, the clash is “on the concepts”, and Dodon loses, noted Tkachuk.

“everything will end in that Sanda will force them to early elections, on which the left flank will play right,” the ex-advisor added.

The last time this happened in the elections to the Moldovan Supreme Council in 1990, reminded Tkachuk. “This led to a sad junction in 1992 during the Transnistrian conflict. I hope this time nothing will happen,” he added.

Tkachuk was an adviser to the third president of Moldova Vladimir Voronin.
