Employers rated importance of higher education when working to work

Russian employers rated the importance of having higher education when admitting job applicants. So, only 27.9 percent of managers take into account the compliance of the specialty in the diploma of the proposed vacancy. This is evidenced by the pollization of the Institute of Mirea Management Technologies, which lead to RBC.

At the same time, a lot of chiefs – 56.8 percent – pay more attention to the existence of the job experience. Another 15.2 percent of employers admitted that the fact of the presence of a diploma at a potential employee was important for them.

It is specified that 74.5 percent of the respondents of entrepreneurs have been listed among the requirements for applicants. However, there were only 41.8 percent of managers in the employment of the Russians without a diploma.

Businessmen also listed posts for applicants for which it is fundamentally important to have an appropriate higher education: a doctor, veterinary, teacher, an engineer, an IT specialist in the field of management and an IT specialist of a narrow profile. At the same time, employers noted that the market is not enough specialists of technical and working profiles, junior medical personnel and primary school teachers.

The survey was conducted from 1 to 14 April 2021 among 1632 representatives of Russian companies in 78 regions of Russia.

Previously, the Superjob service found out how many Russians work on the profession specified in the diploma. It turned out that only 40 percent of the citizens of the country are employed in the specialty. Another 22 percent are occupied in an adjacent sphere. 38 percent of respondents stated that they are engaged in non-core work.
