USA and China agreed to cooperate with each other for the sake of climate, adopting a joint statement on the results of the meeting in Shanghai. This was announced by the US State Department, reports TASS.
The document was agreed by the Special Flanger of the American President on Climate by John Kerry and his Chinese counterpart Che Zhenhua. In it, countries expressed their readiness to work on the implementation of the Paris Agreement with each other and with other countries.
“The United States and China are committed to cooperation with each other and with the rest of the countries in overcoming the climate crisis, which must be resolved with all seriousness and urgency,” said the State Department.
