The US Counting Chamber recognized the decline in the combat readiness of the Armed Forces due to permanent wars in the last 20 years. This is reported by RT TV channel with reference to the department’s report.
The authors of the document stated that the United States has lost their previous advantage in land, sea, air and outer spaces, as well as in the cybersfer. Analysts associate it with the increased military potential of the major opponents of the USA – Russia and China.
Earlier, the head of the US strategic command Admiral Charles Richard said that the American side is concerned about the lack of information about the scale and location of the Nuclear Arsenal of Russia, which is not included in the Agreement on measures to further reduce and restrict strategic offensive armaments (DSNV, an unofficial name – START 3).
According to him, the extension of the agreement provides the necessary transparency and predictability of the “Russian arsenal. Richard also noted that the new weapons of Russia – such as the strategic complex “Burevestnik”, the Avangard missile complex, the hyperzvuky winged rocket “Zirkon” and the nuclear underwater apparatus “Poseidon” – change the nature of its nuclear complex.
