European Commission to sue Astrazeneca

The European Commission decided to start a trial against the manufacturer of Astrazeneca vaccine. This reports Politico.

The reason for such a solution was the problems with vaccine supplies. As the sources of publication tell, the goal of the proceedings is to oblige Astrazeneca to deliver all the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, relying the European Union by contact.

The trial may begin next week.

Previously, some countries of Europe have suspended or banned vaccination with Astrazeneca due to the discovery of thrombosis in the vowed patients. Meanwhile, the creators of the vaccine insist on its safety. The company stated that a detailed study of the health of more than 17 million people after vaccination showed the absence of data on increased risk of pulmonary artery embolism, deep veins thrombosis or thrombocytopenia.
