Gazprom approved a technical and economic analysis of the project for the construction of the Soyuz East gas pipeline through Mongolia to China. It will become a continuation of the Power Siberian-2 gas pipeline, it is stated on the company’s website.
Gazprom calculated the effect of the new project, the optimal route of passing the route of the gas pipeline through the territory of Mongolia, its length, diameter, working pressure, the number of compressor stations was determined. The preliminary project indicators give the necessary economic efficiency of its implementation, it is reported.
The export power of “Siberian Power” may exceed the power of the Siberi Power of Siberia gas pipeline by more than 1.3 times. This will allow supplying gas from Western Siberia to exports in large volumes not only in Western, but also in the eastern direction, noted in Gazprom.
President Vladimir Putin approved a new gas pipeline with a capacity of up to 50 billion cubic meters per year in March 2020. For the implementation of the project, the Special Company “Gas pipeline Union of East” is responsible, which was established in Mongolia. Construction began in the fall last year. The head of Gazprom Alexey Miller in January assured the president in the effectiveness of “Power of Siberia-2”
