In 2020, a number of foreign companies refused to cooperate with Roscosmos due to American sanctions. About this in a conversation with the Agency “Interfax”, the first deployment of the State Corporation on Economics and Finance Maxim Ovchinnikov said.
“We had last year the failure of the refusal of individual companies from the supply of elements that were necessary to fulfill the state defense order, and these elements were not manufactured in Russia,” said Ovchinnikov. According to him, it was an official refusal and now mentioned by the top manager of the company must state corporation money. “Of course, we will do everything so that they will be returned to us,” said the representative of the victim due to the restrictions of the corporation.
At the same time, the representative of Roskosmos mentioned that the corporations knew about risks a year before the start of negotiations with partners. “We started working with the other, who are not part of the state corporation, but the Russian enterprise for the production of this product, and in a year it will simply appear,” the agency’s source stressed. However, because of this case, “a country, abandoning deliveries, simply created a competitor.”
At the end of 2020, US Department of Internal Affairs published a list with Russian and Chinese organizations, which allegedly cooperate with the Armed Forces of the two countries. In particular, the Ministry of Defense, the Foreign Intelligence Service, Progress Rocket and Space Center and other enterprises have come under American sanctions.
