Ship with oil was dangerous and left without a crew in open sea

Netherlands cargo ship Eemslift Hendrika was dangerous and left without a crew in the open sea off the coast of Norway. It is reported by the Norwegian Broadcast Corporation (NRK).

The ship filed a distress signal back on Monday, March 5. The coastal service evacuated 8 of 12 crew members, and the captain and a few more sailors remained aboard in the hope of saving the ship. After it lost the move, the rescuers evacuated the remaining command.

In the Norwegian coastal service fear that the drifer vessel may tip over due to a strong roll. As a result, it may be spilled on board 350 tons of heavy oil and 50 tons of diesel. In the distress area, bad weather conditions are preserved – the height of the waves reaches 15 meters.

At the end of March, it was reported that the Russian trawler “Melkart” was overturned during the water descent in the Norwegian city of Kirkenes. The vessel was repaired in ship repair shipyard “Kimek”, soon he had to return to work. Upon descending on the water, the trawler fell on the side and overturned. At that moment, there were eight people on board, none of them suffered.
