On March 22, China introduced harsh sanctions against the EU in response to the “notation” on human rights, which Beijing allegedly violates in the Sinzian-Uigur Autonomous Region. The sanctions touched 10 individual individuals and four organizations from Brussels.

Previously, Reuters reported that the head of the EU Foreign Ministry also agreed to introduce four citizens of China and one organization to the sanction list. They are accused of violating human rights in connection with the persecution of Muslim Uigurov.
