The head of the state corporation “Roscosmos” Dmitry Rogozin spoke about the ability of Russian missile weapons to respond to any aggressor. He stated this in congratulations on Defender of the Fatherland Day, published on the website of the state corporation.
Rogozin, who recorded a video message from the Vostochny cosmodrome, noted that the workers who provide launches of space rockets today are also defenders of the fatherland. He stressed that in the modern world “defense of the fatherland is a question, including of our missile weapons, which are capable of delivering a response to any aggressor or group of aggressors.”
The head of the company added that space rockets are launching military satellites and dual-purpose vehicles into orbit. Rogozin thanked civilian specialists for protecting the peaceful sky and outer space of Russia, and said that they are also defenders of the fatherland.
Earlier, the head of Roscosmos spoke about the plans of the state corporation to explore the Moon and deep space in 2021. According to Rogozin, the corporation is embarking on a program of these studies, and will also continue preparations for re-equipping the industry with a fundamentally new rocket and space technology.
