“Russian Land Cruiser” conceived to create on basis of an armored car

The Russian manufacturer of wheeled military equipment Military Industrial Company LLC (MIC) has decided to create a “Russian Land Cruiser” based on the Strela light armored car. This was stated by the CEO of the company Alexander Krasovitsky in an interview with RIA Novosti.

As Krasovitsky said, great hopes are pinned on the version of the Arrow car without armor. According to him, in the future it should become the main command vehicle in the Russian Armed Forces. Moreover, the car can be in demand in the civilian market. “Some experts even call it” our Land Cruiser “, – he stressed.

The director of the military-industrial complex recalled that it is planned to create a whole family of Strela cars. In addition to the unarmored version, the line will include a standard armored vehicle, an armored amphibious vehicle, as well as an armored and unarmored chassis for installing various equipment and weapon systems.
