In Russia, they decided to introduce a tax on artisanal activities. According to Izvestia, such a bill will be prepared by the Ministry of Finance.
The new tax will affect all citizens who want to engage in artisanal activities and register on a specially created online platform.
The Ministry of Finance confirmed the development of the document. The press service of the department said that the bill should be submitted to the government in September and submitted to the State Duma in November this year.
The ministry also clarified that the bill is related to the initiative of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East. Therefore, first you need to pass a law on artisanal activity, which would define this concept.
Earlier in Russia they thought about introducing a new “digital tax”. Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov said that large foreign companies profit from the provision of services in Russia, but do not pay anything to the Russian budget, since they have no representative offices in the country. In this regard, the authorities want to develop a mechanism for collecting funds.
