The Voronezh rocket engine building center (part of the integrated rocket engine building structure, headed by NPO Energomash of the Roscosmos State Corporation) in January 2021 began commissioning and production of control copies of parts on the first machine tools that entered the enterprise under the program of technical re-equipment for increasing volumes production of civilian products.
A wide range of parts will be manufactured at the new turning and milling machining centers with a numerical control system as part of the execution of orders from representatives of the domestic oil and gas industry: bodies, plungers, flanges, covers, nozzles and other products. The specified commissioning works in 2020 were preceded by a large volume of measures for the overhaul of the building, which will house a park of new machines: the floor, foundations, the roof was repaired, the necessary communications were carried out, lifting mechanisms were installed, and other types of work were performed. In 2020, horizontal boring machining centers, test benches, gear processing equipment, and welding installations were also commissioned.
Along with the specified equipment, in the near future the enterprise will receive more lathes, vertical and horizontal machining centers with CNC from various manufacturers, which will expand the introduction of modern technologies in the manufacture of civilian products and increase its production.
