Spain’s chief of staff resigns over vaccination scandal

The Chief of the General Staff of the Spanish Armed Forces, General Miguel Angel Villarroya, resigned due to the vaccination scandal. This is reported by El Mundo.

Various media outlets have reported that the general used his official position to put himself and his subordinates out of turn with the coronavirus vaccine. The chief of general staff in a letter to the Minister of Defense said that he did not violate the established rules, but nevertheless asked for his resignation.

Earlier it was reported that Spain would register those who refused to be vaccinated against the coronavirus vaccine. Vaccination in this case will be voluntary. Perhaps even those who have had COVID-19 should be vaccinated.
