In Switzerland, five people have died after being vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. They were all elderly, according to the state pharmaceutical regulator Swissmedic.
It is noted that at the moment there have been 42 reports of alleged side effects of the drug that arose after the first phase of vaccination. Of these, 16 cases are classified as serious, and five were fatal.
According to the regulator, the deceased patients were between the ages of 84 and 92 and their deaths are not directly related to the vaccine. It is clarified that they died from diseases arising in their old age.
Earlier it became known that 79 Lithuanian doctors, who were vaccinated with Pfizer and BioNTech, contracted the coronavirus. The Lithuanian infectious disease specialist explained this by the fact that doctors were already infected at the time of vaccination.
