An explosion in a residential building in Madrid killed at least three people, several more are missing. This was reported with reference to the local police on the Twitter account of La Vanguardia.
It is reported that priests lived in the building belonging to the local diocese, at least one of them is under the rubble. At least two people were hospitalized with serious injuries. The preliminary cause of the explosion is a gas leak; it is also known that a fire continues inside the building after the explosion.
The disaster in the Spanish capital became known earlier on January 20. A powerful explosion destroyed at least three floors of the house. Emergency services are available on site.
